Vineyard & Winery Tour
Includes a Glass of Wine or Cider + Lavender Lemonade
Step into the heart of Bonnieheath Estate and discover what makes our vineyard and wines truly unique. This 45-minute guided tour offers guests a behind-the-scenes look at our regenerative vineyard and working winery—where sustainable practices and innovative techniques come together to craft exceptional wines.
At Bonnieheath, we take a deeply rooted, nature-first approach to farming. Our vineyard is managed using regenerative agriculture principles, meaning we focus on restoring soil health, encouraging biodiversity, and supporting the entire ecosystem around our vines. Guests will learn how we use compost teas, cover crops, and natural pest deterrents to maintain vine health - without relying on pesticide sprays.
You’ll also get to explore how we grow cold-hardy hybrid grapes, specially bred for Ontario’s climate. These unique varietals not only thrive in our region, but also offer exciting new flavour profiles you won’t find in traditional wines.
What’s Included:
Start your tour with a glass of Bonnieheath wine or Folkin’ Hard Cider, and pause midway for a refreshing glass of lavender lemonade, made with lavender grown right here on the farm.
Tour Highlights:
-
The Vineyard: Walk through the vines as your host shares how we care for our land, manage seasonal cycles, and grow resilient grape varieties. Learn about the science and philosophy behind regenerative farming, and how these methods support both flavour and sustainability.
-
The Tank Room: Go behind the doors of our working winery to see where the wine comes to life. From fermentation tanks to bottling lines, you’ll get a close-up look at how Bonnieheath wines are made - from harvest to glass.
Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a sustainability advocate, or simply curious about the story behind what you sip, this tour offers a deeper connection to the land, the process, and the passion behind every bottle.
