Includes a Glass of Wine or Cider + Lavender Lemonade (non-alcoholic option available)
Wander through the fragrant rows of Bonnieheath lavender and step inside our rustic distillery kiln to learn how this beloved plant is harvested, processed, and transformed. This 45-minute guided tour gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at both the beauty and the science of lavender production.
Begin your visit with a glass of Bonnieheath wine, Folkin’ Hard Cider, or lavender lemonade - your choice. Along the way, you’ll pause for a second refreshing glass of lavender lemonade, made right here on the farm.
Tour Highlights:
-
The Lavender Field: Stroll between our two varieties—French lavender to the north and English lavender to the south—while your host shares how we grow, care for, and harvest this hardy perennial. Learn what makes these two types unique in fragrance, colour, and use.
-
The Distillery Kiln: Step into our rustic kiln where the magic happens. Guests will see how we shake dried buds from the stems, and get a close-up look at our steam distillation equipment, where we produce essential oil from the flowers grown just outside. Your host will explain how drying, distillation, and product-making all come together in this small but mighty space.
This tour blends farming, fragrance, and old-world techniques, offering a rare look at the full lavender journey - from field to bottle.
