Taste of the Vineyard: Guided Experience
Step into the vines with us for a guided 50-minute journey through Bonnieheath's vineyard, where you’ll taste the land in every sip and step. This intimate, hosted version of our Taste of the Vineyard experience brings you behind the scenes of our regenerative farming practices and lets you connect directly with the fruit that becomes your glass of wine.
Along the way, your host will guide you through six scenic stops around our 10-acre vineyard, with opportunities to rest at 2-3 seated locations. You’ll learn how our grapes are grown without the use of pesticides. Instead, we support a thriving ecosystem beneath the vines using biological farming methods and compost teas that fill the soil with beneficial bacteria. This is why our grapes are safe and delicious to eat straight from the vine—and you’ll do just that.
Guests will sample:
-
Six 1 oz pours of Bonnieheath wine for alcohol-drinking guests
-
For non-drinkers: our homegrown lavender lemonade, a second seasonal non-alcoholic drink, and a tasting of fresh, hand-squished grape juice pressed right in the vineyard.
Each hosted tour includes a demonstration and interactive use of a Brix meter - a tool used to measure grape sugar content and determine ripeness. Guests will get to try it themselves and learn how it guides our harvest timing.
Optional snack-pairing add-ons are available at the beginning of the experience. Your host will offer pairings that bring out the flavours of each grape and wine sample.
The full walk covers approximately 2,000 feet over mostly flat outdoor terrain.
Whether you’re walking among the vines with wine in hand or tasting fresh-pressed juice in the sun, this hosted tour is a celebration of the regenerative story behind every grape at Bonnieheath.

Seasonal Note on Vineyard Tours
As a working vineyard, our harvest schedule is guided by nature. Grape ripening and picking are influenced by sun, rain, and temperature - meaning the experience changes slightly throughout the season.
Our harvest window typically falls in September. In late August, grapes may still be ripening and not yet at peak sweetness. In October, some varieties may have already been picked. If certain grapes aren’t ready or have been harvested, we adapt your experience accordingly -often expanding the tour to include a behind-the-scenes visit to our tank room, where you’ll see how our wine is made.
We never leave our guests high and dry. Whether you’re tasting grapes in the field, sipping fresh juice, or standing among the barrels, you’ll always receive a hosted, educational tour that reflects what’s happening at the winery that week. It’s all part of experiencing the land in real time, and that’s what makes each visit to Bonnieheath unique.
*You must first add a minimum of 4 Wines and Grapes participants with your select time into your cart, and then after add the Drinks and Grapes guests into the same time slot into your cart.
